AFTER The STORM

Well I have to admit, the day went very well.....we left on time and got back early.

It was a pretty uneventful day. Though my pantyhose did not make it through the day. And when we got back to Philly were greeted by the pics below.  Long day, snowy day...and guess what? I signed up for another trip....2 more trips actually. There was calm before , during , and after the storm. All my questions were answered....My pantyhose didn't last throughout the day, I didn't bring my sunscreen, we did get back to Philadelphia, and didn't get to stay in Punta Cana after all. Oh...and I hadn't slept in over 36 hours! But it all worked out, and I had a fun day!

Calm before the storm

So here I sit in the Philadelphia airport . I commuted in from SFO on the red -eye that got me here to PHL at 6am for my 8:30 am show. I'm supposed to be flying to Punta Cana and back today..BUT...just one small problem... a big snowstorm is going to hit here in a few hours! So as I sit here waiting in the calm early morning in the terminal, a few questions cross my mind ...

1) Will we actually get out of here?

2) And if we do, will we get back here?

3) Will we just cancel in Punta Cana?

4) Did I bring any sunscreen?

5) And if we don't cancel in Punta Cana, and don't get to Philly, where will we end up ( with a bunch of pissed passengers)?

Hmmmm.....And I'm wondering if I made a mistake wearing these new shoes that are not broken in yet , and will anyone notice the run in my stocking? 

Oh well , the terminal is coming alive now. I guess I'll head on down to check in, then over to my gate to prepare for the storm! 

Welcome all! I have been told that I should create a blog about my job as a Flight Attendant and my traveling experiences. I have been pondering this for a while. First of all, there are trillions of travel blogs all over the Internet. I also thought about who would want to read about my travels? But then I realized I could talk about my travels, my job, ,my likes and dislikes, relationships, down days, items that I like that make my travel life easier, etc!. I didn't have to approach it from one aspect, because my job is not just a job, it's a lifestyle and it's like a kaleidoscope of everything that has to do with the traveling world!   I basically live out of a suitcase, so it would include everything that is going on in my life, because my life revolves around travel.  So with that said, I hope that you will enjoy my journey's and musings about travel, the travel industry, and how I as a "crew member " experience the day to day life up the cabin, layovers, things that make my travel world easier, the good and the bad.  It'll be like you're right there with me! So put your seats in an upright position and fasten your seatbelts because you're in for one wild ride!
